Due to road closings caused by the recent storm, the Vineyard has become virtually inaccessible. Please postpone your visit this weekend. Hopefully the roads will be reopened next week.

It was good to see all those who came to celebrate the first wine of the vintage on November 23, even if the new wine was not 100% Dornfelder. We have a good supply of the Nouveau 2013 and a few bottles of Cabernet Franc Reserve 2010 if you missed out or wish more.

Changes at the winery tasting room for 2014: Fat Spike has chosen to pursue other interests so her lavender products will no longer be for sale. Stargazers will maintain the garden so you can still enjoy a glass of wine or picnic there. Due to the vendor's health constraints, cheese from God's Country will no longer be available here.

Stargazers has joined Twin Brook Winery in a Wine Shop in Lititz, 26 East Main Street, open seven days a week; call 717 625 3932 for hours. Tell your friends in Lancaster County that our wine is available in Lititz, a charming, historic town.

As in past years the winery tasting room will close for the month of January, re-opening the first of February.

As this year draws to a close, we thank all of our customers for their support in 2013!

The French call it Nouveau, the Italians Novello;  in Germany it's Neuer Wein and in Austria Jungwein.

Because of the May frost, there was no Dornfelder fruit for our 2013 Nouveau, but we have a substitute. If we were in Italy we could call it Novello.

We will continue to offer this wine for sale in 2014
