Rendezvous with Mason & Dixon August 16

Posted 7/26/2014 3:32pm by John Weygandt.

250 years ago Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon teamed up to layout the Mason-Dixon Line. 31 miles west of Philadelphia stands the Harlan House (shown below) where, in 1763,  Mason and Dixon began measuring due south to set the new line for the border with Maryland. They determined latitude and longitude from the stars, progressing from PA to Delaware and then to Maryland to run the line.

Come celebrate these famous Star Gazers with a Rendezvous with Mason & Dixon at Stargazers Vineyard August 16 starting at 7 pm. Please join us for a relaxing evening with great food, wine and conversation in the beautiful Chester County countryside.
